QUALIFICATION OFFERED
Typically a bachelor's degree takes three years. If you want an honours degree you will have to complete one more year of study. However, this rule does not apply across the board. Therefore, it is always best to check with your university. A master's degree may be awarded to a bachelor's degree with honours and those without. However, a master's degree for the latter usually two years of study, compared to one year for a candidate who has a bachelor's honours degree.

WHEN AND HOW TO APPLY
If you wish to study in New Zealand, you should start sending enquiries at least 6 to 8 months before the proposed date of admission. Generally, institutions have two intakes: In February and July. Some institutions and universities offer multiple intakes round the year. You can download the application forms from the internet, request them via email, or collect them from our offices. most institutions accept applications through their online portal or through email. If you are looking to get admission into vocational courses, some courses may have admissions open even in March, April, May, July, and October.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
The general criteria for application are mentioned below:
English Requirement:Minimum IELTS score of 5.5 for UG and 6.5 for PG courses [the minimum score depending on the course and institution]
Many universities accept a minimum score of 50 in PTE Academic for UG and 60 for PG.
Undergraduate:Twelve years of elementary and secondary education [12th or intermediate].
Many universities accept a minimum score of 50 in PTE Academic for UG and 60 for PG.
Post-Graduate:For most universities a good first degree from a leading Indian university or its equivalent will do.
Minimum required IELTS/PTE Academic scores.
Relevant work experience [some universities require this for MBA and Master's Degree].
POST-STUDY WORK RIGHTS
The post-study work visa allows Indian Students to work in New Zealand for any employer for one year after completing their studies. All you need is an eligible qualification irrespective of the subject of study. However, the degree must have been earned in New Zealand only and the application must be made within 3 months of becoming eligible or 6 months if you have completed a Ph.D. Additionally, You must be able to show that you've got at least NZD 4200 available to live on during the 12 months the visa lasts.
If you wish to stay further and you have a job that's relevant to what you studied, you can apply to New Zealand Immigration to have your work visa extended for up to two years with your employer's assistance. It can be extended in specific circumstances to three years if you are working towards membership or registration from the New Zealand professional association [e.g the New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants or New Zealand Registered Architects Board].
VISA REQUIREMENTS
You will require a student visa if you wish to stay in New Zealand for more than 3 months, with studying there as the main purpose of your visit. To apply you must complete the following requirements:
- A written offer of acceptance from a New Zealand Qualification Authority [NZQA] certified educational institution in New Zealand
- A duly completed and signed application form, with a passport-size photograph. You will have to pay a non-refundable visa application fee
- Your passport or certificate of identity [valid through the period of intended stay].
